NASA Warns of Potentially Dangerous Asteroid Approaching Earth

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has issued a warning about a potentially dangerous asteroid approaching Earth. This information is reported on NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies website, as conveyed by Lenta.ru.

According to the portal, the object will approach Earth on August 23. On this date, asteroid 6037 (1988 EG) will pass at a distance of approximately six million kilometers from the planet. As stated by the center, its diameter ranges from 430 to 960 meters, and it travels at a speed of 14.25 kilometers per second. The asteroid’s closest approach to Earth is expected at 12:18 Yerevan time. Forecasts suggest that the minimum distance between the planet and the celestial body will be nearly 6.1 million kilometers.
