How Ararat Mirzoyan Evaluated the Abduction of Vagif Khachatryan
The abduction of Vagif Khachatryan by the Azerbaijani border service is a vile and unacceptable act against the norms of international humanitarian law, aimed at the ethnic cleansing of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, stated Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in a telephone conversation with Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Mirzoyan emphasized the urgent necessity to immediately lift the blockade of the Lachin corridor and highlighted the pressing need for the supply of food, medicine, and other essential goods to Artsakh. He also underscored the importance of ensuring the proper and continuous operation of the only international humanitarian organization present in Nagorno-Karabakh, the ICRC, in the current conditions, and condemned Azerbaijan's attempts to obstruct and discredit the humanitarian activities of the ICRC.
