UEFA Appoints First Female Vice President in History
Laura McAllister representing Wales has become the first female vice president in the history of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin appointed her and Gabriele Gravina, head of the Italian Football Federation, as vice presidents.
The 58-year-old McAllister is a former captain of the Wales women's national football team. She has played 24 matches for the national team in the defender position.
Meanwhile, Slovene Aleksander Ceferin has been re-elected as the president of UEFA for the third time.
