Over 1000 Armenian Trucks Accumulate at Upper Lars
The number of trucks heading from Russia to Georgia is about 4000, of which 1000 are Armenian. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché at the Armenian embassy in Russia.
“The trucks that have left Armenia for Russia and have not yet crossed the Georgian-Russian border number between 150 and 200,” he stated.
It is worth noting that the Upper Lars checkpoint remains closed to all types of vehicles at this time. In the Gudauri-Kobi area, snowfall has not stopped, and from the Georgian side, it has been reported that due to the risk of avalanches, traffic has also been restricted on the Tbilisi-Gudauri route in both directions.
