Photographs: Armenian and Russian Military Personnel Conduct Joint Exercises
The pilots of the "Erebuni" airbase and the personnel of the air defense units of Armenia's Southern Military District have carried out training assignments for the defense of Armenia's airspace in collaboration with military personnel. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia.
During the training sessions, actions were developed to detect and intercept conditional aerial targets simulating airspace violators. The servicemen of the air defense units refined their operations to ensure the protection of airspace during combat duty. Training flights were conducted at altitudes ranging from 50 to 6,000 meters with various speeds and with identification systems turned off.
Particular attention was paid to the coverage of air lines and units located in the deployment area of the Southern Military District during the exercises. The military personnel completed the tasks under complex weather conditions, including heavy precipitation, strong winds, and temperature variations in high-altitude regions.
