“It’s Shameful”: Lavrov on G20's Political Agenda
The G20 countries have not remembered the situations in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, or the former Yugoslavia since their establishment, but now, when Russia has begun to defend itself, they are only talking about Ukraine, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
“Today, when Russia has started to defend itself after many years, nothing is interesting to the G20 except Ukraine: it is shameful,” Lavrov said during the Raisina Dialogue forum.
He added that he spoke with representatives from Indonesia and India at the forum and asked them whether the G20 has ever responded to the situations in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, or the former Yugoslavia in its statements. “No one even remembered what happened; the G20 was discussing financial and macroeconomic topics, for which it was created,” Lavrov emphasized.
