Ukraine Aims to Disrupt Unity of the Russian People, According to Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Ukraine publicly identifies the disruption of the unity of the Russian people as a target for its attacks. “It has been publicly declared that the aim is to destroy entire sectors of our economy and disrupt the unity of our people and the cohesion of Russian society,” Putin said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist for the Vesti information system.

Previously, Putin had stated that the upcoming elections would confirm Russia's resilience and its ability to withstand any external threats. “Even in the most difficult circumstances, Russia will not deviate from the principles of popular sovereignty and will hold elections across the country. The forthcoming elections will affirm Russia's resilience and its capacity to confront any external threats,” he noted.
