Government Composition Must Be Formed by September 3; Awaiting Reappointments – ‘Zhoghovurd’
The final composition of the Government of the Republic of Armenia must be formed by September 3. In the ruling cabinet, there is anticipation over whom Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will reappoint and who will part ways with their positions.
This information was reported by the newspaper ‘Zhoghovurd’. As is known, on August 2, Nikol Pashinyan submitted his resignation from the position of Prime Minister, and on the same day, President Vahagn Khachaturyan reappointed him as Prime Minister. This followed parliamentary elections that resulted in the formation of a majority in the National Assembly by the 'Civil Contract' party.
According to sources from the newspaper, after the government program is presented to the National Assembly on August 24, the question of the complete composition of the executive should also be clarified. Information suggests that the appointments for the majority of ministers have already been resolved, but final decisions regarding deputy ministers and several other officials in the public system are still pending.
Moreover, discussions are ongoing within the political circles concerning the involvement of new personnel in the public administration system. Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly stated his desire to increase the number of specialists with youth, education abroad, and international experience in the public system. Reports indicate that numerous applications and proposals have been submitted to the Prime Minister in this regard, which has contributed to the extension of the process of selecting new personnel.
At this moment, employees in several ministries are awaiting clarification on their future fate. Specifically, the Prime Minister needs to decide who will be reappointed as deputy ministers and who will be relieved of their positions.
