Zelensky and Macron Agree to Accelerate Arms Supply
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, have discussed air defense and the acceleration of French arms supplies.
Zelensky reported that he had a conversation lasting nearly two hours with Macron. The parties focused on strengthening Ukraine's air defense. Zelensky noted Macron's willingness to negotiate with other partners who have the necessary missiles for Patriot systems and also reviewed France's air defense capabilities.
According to Zelensky, both sides agreed to expedite the supply of France's latest equipment and missiles and discussed Paris’s readiness to provide Ukraine with licenses for missile production. The two presidents also addressed diplomatic exchanges with partners and the U.S. administration, as well as the financing of Ukraine's defense for the current and next year.
