Russian Foreign Ministry Provides Details on Lavrov-Mirzoyan Meeting
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan discussed the intensification of efforts aimed at resolving Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The information was relayed by RIA Novosti.
The negotiations held in New Delhi took place in a friendly and trusting atmosphere, with the ministers agreeing on further diplomatic contacts, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
“There was an exchange of views on regional issues. The urgency of intensifying efforts on all directions for the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations was outlined based on the agreements reached between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, November 26, 2021, and October 31, 2022,” the ministry's statement said.
Furthermore, as noted by the ministry, the ministers discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda and explored approaches to enhance cooperation in international platforms within the frameworks of common integration units.
