Iran's Foreign Ministry Calls on Kyiv to Refrain from Provocative Statements Against Tehran
Iran expects Kyiv to abstain from discussing provocative topics related to Iran in the media and to demonstrate a professional approach regarding international relations, said Nasser Kanaani, the official representative of Iran's Foreign Ministry, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We hope that Ukraine will refrain from provocative topics related to Iran in the media and will exhibit a professional approach regarding the relationship between the two countries,” Kanaani stated.
The Foreign Ministry representative noted that Tehran and Kyiv have friendly relations; however, due to the ongoing events in Ukraine and the fact that Kyiv is under the influence of "Western pressure," the quality of Ukraine-Iranian relations has diminished. He emphasized that Tehran is interested in resolving these issues.
