Bayramov on Ruben Vardanyan's Dismissal

Ruben Vardanyan's allies have realized that the "Vardanyan project" is not feasible. This was stated by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, according to Azerbaijani media.

"From day one, we have stated that we are ready to speak with the Armenian population of Karabakh, and there have been positive outcomes. However, the person who has come from outside to Karabakh or has been sent here to play someone else's games cannot be a negotiating party for us. His backers have realized that the ‘Vardanyan project’ is not working," Bayramov said.

It is worth noting that a government meeting was held on February 23, led by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan. President Harutyunyan also issued a decree dismissing Ruben Vardanyan from his position as State Minister. Harutyunyan proposed that the duties of State Minister be taken over by the Republic's Chief Prosecutor Gurgen Nersisyan.
