Ukraine Practically Has No Chance to Regain Crimea, General Says

Ukraine practically has no chance to regain Crimea, said General Yaroslav Struzhik, former deputy head of NATO's International Military Staff's Intelligence Directorate.

“In my steadfast assessment, it will be incredibly difficult to return Crimea; I would even dare say it is impossible,” Struzhik stated during an interview on RMF FM radio.

“But, of course, I wholeheartedly wish to see Ukraine regain this peninsula,” he added.

Moreover, the general is confident that the conflict in Ukraine will eventually end with negotiations, and diplomatic solutions will emerge later this year.

“Our experiences over the past few decades show that no war ends the way we expect. Whether it is Afghanistan, Iraq, or even certain issues in the Balkans, disputes continue to this day,” he noted.
