Iran Will Respond to Israel When It Deems Necessary, Says Permanent Representative to the UN
The Islamic Republic of Iran has the right to respond to Israel for the attack on the Ministry of Defense facility in Isfahan "there and when it sees fit," stated Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Saeed Iravani, according to ISNA.
Earlier, Iravani had referred to Tel Aviv as the primary responsible party for the attack on a military facility in Iran in a letter to the President of the UN Security Council.
"Based on international law and the UN Charter, the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the legitimate and inalienable right to defend its national security and the right to a decisive response to any threat or unlawful action by Israel, at the time and place it sees necessary," the diplomat noted.
It is recalled that on the night of January 29, there was an attack on one of Iran's Ministry of Defense military facilities using drones. Later, reports emerged regarding a fire at a factory in Azarshahr and explosions in Karaj. Unofficial sources indicate that there are combat drone manufacturing plants located there. American media reports suggest an Israeli trace in all of this.
