Efforts Are Being Made to Blame the General of the Victorious Army: Artur Minasyan

It is absurd that the issue of Seyran Ohanyan is being discussed and a petition has been submitted to which he has no right to access. This was stated by Artur Minasyan, the secretary of the "Armenia" faction, during a briefing with journalists, addressing the petition sent by the Prosecutor General to the Speaker of the National Assembly regarding the stripping of Seyran Ohanyan's immunity.

"The reason for the secrecy is that the decision-makers are the investigative bodies and the NSS. This is yet another case in which an attempt is made to blame the general of the victorious army and former Minister of Defense. This is obviously a sign of legal illiteracy, as well as a politically directed step. If we only look at the criminal-legal aspect of this case, the accusation does not even meet the minimum requirements," Minasyan said.

He characterized the charge against Seyran Ohanyan as absurd.

Speaking about the criminal proceedings initiated against Armen Charhchyan, Minasyan also referred to it as legal illiteracy, considering it a case with clear political guidance. "It is connected to the 'Bread Deliverer' case, where he allegedly provided a false medical conclusion. Armen Charhchyan was one of the experts, acted in accordance with the regulations, and within the framework of the investigator's instructions. In the case you find that there is no one else, only Charhchyan is portrayed as the villain whose conclusion allegedly caused such serious consequences," Artur Minasyan stated.
