Clamp Your Teeth and Do What I Say: Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has stated that it is necessary to inform the public against the backdrop of external threats so that they can make the right decisions. He mentioned that Belarusians can "go through hardships," and to avoid this and live a prosperous life, they should "clamp their teeth" and do what the president says. This was reported by Kommersant.
The Belarusian leader noted that he has tasked law enforcement agencies and other authorities with informing the people about ongoing events. According to him, he does not intend to scare anyone but wants the "public to be aware of everything that is happening almost 100 percent openly."
"If you want to go through a disaster—ask for it, here is the flag—forward. If you want peace and tranquility, that even if you don't take a shower morning and evening at least we can wash your children with warm water, for the house to be warm, for gas, oil, and other necessities to be available, to have food morning and evening, to have clothing, if you want that, then clamp your teeth and go forward—do what I say," said Lukashenko.
