European Union Preliminary Observer Group Arrives in Yerevan Today: Toivo Klaar
Today, a preliminary group of EU observers will arrive in Yerevan. This was announced by Toivo Klaar, the European Union's Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, on his microblog on Twitter.
"Today, the EU preliminary observer group arrives in Yerevan. The 27 member states of the EU have acted swiftly in response to Armenia's request. The purpose of deploying EU observers is to monitor the situation and to support the stabilization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Klaar noted in his post.
As reported earlier, a decision has been made for the EU mission to come to Armenia.
