Zelensky: Macron Even Allowed Me to Call Him on WhatsApp
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he has good personal relations with many world leaders, mentioning that French President Emmanuel Macron has even allowed him to call on WhatsApp, according to RIA Novosti.
In an interview with the German ZDF television channel, Zelensky noted that in times of war, quick decision-making is essential, and he has been practicing what he calls "iPhone diplomacy", which Ukraine previously did not have.
Zelensky mentioned that he asked everyone to communicate more quickly, instead of scheduling telephone calls: "I really have close relationships with (former UK Prime Minister) Boris Johnson, (Polish President Andrzej) Duda, and those in Latvia and Lithuania, whom I could call. And Emmanuel Macron always tells me to call him on WhatsApp."
