EU Technical Team Scheduled to Arrive in Armenia Today: Deputy Foreign Minister
Today, on October 13, in a conversation with journalists, Deputy Foreign Minister Paruir Hovhannisyan announced that a technical team from the European Union will arrive in Armenia.
The exact location of the EU civilian mission has not yet been determined. “The technical team will arrive today, and this issue will also be discussed,” noted Hovhannisyan.
In response to a question regarding the Collective Security Treaty Organization's (CSTO) proposal to send observers to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the deputy minister replied, “We are open to all proposals that would strengthen our security and help us avoid the situation we faced in September.”
It should be recalled that yesterday, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated during negotiations with his Russian counterpart that the European Union has decided to deploy a mission to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
