I Cannot Promise a Clear Outcome: U.S. on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations
The United States will continue to remain actively engaged in the relationship between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including at the highest levels.
According to Armenpress, this was stated by U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price during a press briefing with journalists. He reminded that the three-way meeting in New York involved U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing that this was the first meeting in such a format since the recent military operations, as well as the Secretary's recent phone calls to the foreign ministers.
Furthermore, Price noted that the U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Philip Reeker, is in daily contact with both the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides.
“Therefore, we will continue to be engaged in this issue. I cannot promise a clear outcome, but I can assure you that this will remain a priority for us,” the State Department spokesman said.
