Volunteer Units Formed and Weapons Demanded, Reports 'Hraparak'

'Hraparak' newspaper reports that despite the authorities not declaring a state of emergency or mobilization, our sources in Syunik have informed us that on the very first day of the Azerbaijani armed forces' attack, residents of Kapan, Goris, and nearby communities presented themselves in dozens at municipal offices and demanded that local authorities arm them with weapons allocated to the municipalities to form volunteer units to go to the border and defend their settlements.

It has already been reported that volunteer units have also been formed by the mayors of Goris and Kajaran. While in some areas the units have formed and gone to the border, in several regions, for example, in Jermuk, volunteers have not been allowed to approach the border.'
