PHOTOS: The Fire in the New Building Has Not Been Extinguished Yet. What Is the Situation at This Moment
A fire broke out in the elevator shaft of a building on 42/2 Hayrik Muradyan Street in Yerevan. The fire complexity was rated as "1-BIS." Four firefighting units, a ladder truck, on-duty officers from the fire suppression and rescue operations organization department, and specialized rescue teams from the emergency response division of Yerevan’s rescue service are on site.
As of 1:36 PM, 65 citizens have been evacuated. It is known that there are casualties. Other sources report that one civilian and firefighters have been injured. At 1:41 PM, the fire was contained, but it has not yet been extinguished.
