Lithuania to Recall Its Ambassador from Russia
Lithuania is recalling its ambassador from Russia starting June 1 and is closing its consulate in Saint Petersburg. This was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to a resolution adopted by the Lithuanian government.
According to the document, Ambassador Eitvydas Bajarunas will cease to perform his duties as of June 1. In addition, Lithuania plans to dissolve its main consulate in Saint Petersburg from June 7, following Russia's closure of its embassy in Vilnius and the expulsion of its diplomat Aleksey Isakov and employees of the Russian consulate in Klaipeda.
