On the Very First Day of the Protest, Large-Caliber Gunfire Recorded from Azerbaijan: Alen Simonyan
The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, assesses the actions of the police as proportional, expressing gratitude for their maintenance of the rights of other citizens and their effectiveness in preventing "small events" from disrupting others.
Simonyan stated that on the very first day of the opposition's rally, there were reports of large-caliber gunfire from the Azerbaijani side along the border.
“I leave the conclusions to you; almost always, the actions of our opposition coincide with either the most important visits or events happening at the border. I do not consider this a coincidence,” he remarked.
According to Alen Simonyan, the opposition's rallies are gradually becoming less frequent.
