Russia Expels 40 Employees of German Diplomatic Mission
Russia will expel 40 employees of the German diplomatic mission from its territory. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 25.
“On April 25, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Russia, Geza Andreas von Geyr, was summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A note was handed to the German ambassador regarding the declaration of 40 employees of German diplomatic institutions in Russia as 'persona non grata' in response to a similar decision by the German government,” the statement from the ministry said.
It is noteworthy that, recently, on April 4, the Russian ambassador in Berlin was summoned to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was informed about the expulsion of 40 employees of the Russian diplomatic mission.
