The Armenian Genocide Education Bill has been presented in the U.S. House of Representatives. This was reported by the Armenian National Committee of America. “Although the horrors of the Armenian Genocide can never be erased, we can ensure that future generations never forget,” wrote U.S. Congressman Jim Costa on his Twitter page. “I am proud to join my colleagues as one of the original co-sponsors of the Armenian Genocide Education Act.” It is noted that over 45 members of Congress from both parties have supported the Armenian Genocide Education Act. The bill includes $10 million in funding for educational programs in the Library of Congress regarding the history, lessons, and consequences of the Armenian Genocide.
