The Outcome of Negotiations Depends on Kyiv's Willingness to Consider Our Legal Demands, Lavrov to Cavusoglu
The success of the negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine will depend on Kyiv's willingness to consider Moscow's legal demands. Such a condition was noted by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. According to Lenta.ru, a statement about the phone call was published on the official website of the ministry.
“Regarding the prospects of the Russian-Ukrainian negotiation process, the unchangeability of the Russian principled position was confirmed. The successful outcome of the negotiations entirely depends on Kyiv's willingness to consider our legal demands,” the message states.
Earlier, Lavrov announced the start of the next phase of the special operation in Ukraine. The head of the ministry emphasized that the operation is aimed at the complete liberation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) within the boundaries proclaimed as a result of the 2014 public referendum.
