Lavrov and Kuleba Meeting Possible in Istanbul or Antalya, Says Cavusoglu
The head of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, has announced that a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba could take place in Istanbul or Antalya. This was reported by РИА Новости, referencing CNN Turk.
“I have proposed to the parties to hold the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Russian Federation and Ukraine in Istanbul or Antalya. This meeting is possible,” said Cavusoglu.
He emphasized that such negotiations have already taken place within the framework of the ongoing diplomatic forum in Antalya.
Earlier, Cavusoglu stated that it is difficult to talk about the timing of a potential meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Turkey, but Ankara hopes it will happen soon.
