British New Sanctions Against Russia Will Affect Military Personnel and Businessmen. Bloomberg
The United Kingdom will impose new anti-Russian sanctions this week, according to sources cited by Bloomberg. The restrictions may target defense companies, military personnel, businessmen, and their associates. British authorities have declined to comment on the information.
According to Kommersant, the agency noted that London might also increase tariffs on certain Russian goods. Sanctions are being considered against individuals and structures involved in spreading “disinformation.”
The UK is imposing sanctions against Russia in response to the military operations in Ukraine, which have been conducted since February 24 on the orders of President Vladimir Putin. More than 1,300 individuals and legal entities have come under these sanctions.
