State Duma Deputy Proposes Verifying Ukrainian Artists Before Allowing Them on Russian Stage
The first deputy chair of the Culture Committee of the State Duma, singer Elena Drapeko, has proposed verifying Ukrainian artists to ensure they respect the sovereignty of the Russian Federation before permitting them to perform before the Russian public. This was reported by Gazeta.
The State Duma deputy specifically suggested creating an organization that would check whether artists respect the sovereignty of the Russian Federation. Intelligence agencies would be required to review all public statements and social media posts for potential "provocative content."
“There are agencies that must check and not allow entry to those who undermine our sovereignty or humiliate the Russian people,” the deputy stated.
