Arthur Vanetsyan: 'We Have Resigned from Our Mandates'
A little earlier, during a press conference held at Freedom Square, Arthur Vanetsyan announced: “Consider that we have resigned from our mandates. Because we are here, on the street, standing on the ground and fighting. Specifically for myself, I can say that I can no longer imagine what I should do in parliament, what I should discuss.
In a parliament where they declare that Artsakh can be part of Azerbaijan, I do not know what I should occupy myself with in that parliament. I want to say that whether to resign or not is a technical question, but nonetheless, it should be noted that the change of power will take place in the parliament. Yes, it is unequivocally clear that this will happen under the pressure of the street, but the place is the parliament. Those mandates are what we will need to complete that process,” he added.
