Important Development Following Brussels Meeting: EU Special Representative on Mirzoyan and Bayramov's Phone Conversation
The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, has commented on the phone conversation between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, which followed their meeting in Brussels.
“An important development occurred last week after the Brussels meeting. The EU supports direct ties and cooperation,” Klaar wrote, referring to the recent phone conversation between Mirzoyan and Bayramov.
Earlier today, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that on April 11, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone call with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
“The ministers exchanged views on the formation of a delimitation and border security commission, preparations for peace negotiations, and humanitarian issues,” the statement indicated.
