Lavrov and Bayramov Meet
On March 10, a meeting was held in Antalya between Sergey Lavrov and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The ministers discussed further steps towards the implementation of the provisions of the declaration on alliance cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed during the official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Russia on February 22 of this year.
The heads of the foreign affairs agencies reviewed the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, specifically addressing the launch of the delimitation process of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, the unblocking of economic ties and transport communications in the region, as well as humanitarian issues.
An agreement was reached to work towards the prompt holding of the second session of the “3+3” consultative regional platform.
