Zangezur Corridor, Kars-Nakhchivan Railway: What Aliyev and Erdogan Discussed
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara. The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, the prospects for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the situation in Ukraine. This was reported by the official website of the Azerbaijani presidency.
“Aliyev and Erdogan emphasized the importance of opening the Zangezur corridor, its prospects for the region, and in this regard, the construction of the Kars-Nakhchivan railway,” the statement said.
The presidents highlighted the importance of implementing all provisions of the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, by Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia, and discussed exchanges between Turkish and Armenian delegations.
