What Will Be Discussed Today During Negotiations: Medinsky Reports
The Russian delegation will again try to raise the issue of humanitarian corridors during the third round of negotiations with Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Russian delegation, Presidential Assistant Vladimir Medinsky, ahead of the start of the third round of talks with Ukraine.
"Today we will again attempt to discuss the operational regime of humanitarian corridors with the Ukrainian side, as all those cities where we promised, the corridors are open," he said to reporters, noting that "people can exit through those corridors," according to TASS.
Medinsky also mentioned that the Russian Federation regrets that none of the humanitarian corridors in Ukraine is functioning entirely. He reminded that "at the last meeting, an agreement was reached on the establishment of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of peaceful residents from cities where military operations are taking place."
"Unfortunately, almost none of them has worked entirely," stated the head of the delegation. Medinsky called the actions of Ukrainian nationalists that hinder the evacuation of peaceful residents a war crime.
