Thief Caught After Stealing Mobile Phone on Bus No. 258
A 39-year-old resident of Halabyan Street stole a mobile phone from the pocket of a female passenger on bus route 258. However, while trying to escape, the police were able to catch him and take him into custody. Additional details have been reported by the Police of Armenia.
“On February 7, a robbery occurred in the service area of the Arabkir police department. In the evening, a man openly stole a mobile phone from one of the female passengers on bus route 258, exited at one of the stops on Freedom Avenue, and fled. Community police officers from the Arabkir department, seeing the suspect fleeing at the stop, pursued him, caught him, and took him into custody,” the statement said.
The suspect, a 39-year-old resident of Halabyan Street in Yerevan, threw the phone away while escaping on Freedom Avenue. The detained man confessed to the act. Upon searching the area, the mobile phone was found. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident,” the report stated.
