Does Coronavirus Cause Changes to Human DNA?

Biologists have determined through laboratory tests that neither the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus nor the particles used in vaccines cause changes to human DNA. The results of the study were published in the journal Cell Reports.

It is known that several viruses, such as HIV and hepatitis B, are capable of integrating with human DNA. Some scientists had speculated that the coronavirus possesses similar properties, basing this assumption on the positive PCR test results from certain recovered individuals.

To verify this claim, Australian biologists conducted laboratory studies in collaboration with French and British colleagues and found no evidence that SARS-CoV-2 alters human DNA.

The authors of the study believe that these findings could have serious clinical consequences and recommend everyone to get vaccinated.
