Temperature in Armenia to Rise Up to +40…+42 Degrees
Due to the influx of tropical hot air currents from the Sahara Desert, the air temperature across the republic will gradually increase by 8-10 degrees from July 18-20. In the Ararat Valley and its foothills, the pre-mountain areas of Vayots Dzor, the valley regions of Syunik, and Yerevan, the daytime temperatures are expected to reach +40…+42 degrees between July 19-21. A high fire risk situation is also anticipated in these zones.
On July 18, isolated rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas of the republic, with hail possible in some parts during the afternoon of July 22-23. From July 19-21, dry weather is forecasted. The wind will be from the southwest at 5-10 m/s, with stronger gusts of 18-23 m/s expected during thunderstorms.
The air temperature in Yerevan is set to gradually rise by 8-10 degrees during the day from July 18-20. On the evening of July 18, isolated short rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas of the city, with gusty winds reaching 18-20 m/s during the thunderstorms. From July 19-23, dry weather is predicted.
