Aliyev Demands Compensation from Companies Mining Gold in Artsakh
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has demanded compensation from companies that have mined gold in Artsakh. The remarks pertain to companies that operated in the territories of Kovsakan and Karvachar, occupied by Azerbaijan.
“These companies have two options: either they will pay us compensation and accept our terms, or there is another option of resolving the issue in the legal field... I want to reiterate that these companies must voluntarily restore the damage, pay compensation to the Azerbaijani state, and only then can they live comfortably,” Aliyev stated.
