Newborn Infected with British Variant of Coronavirus Dies in Georgia

A newborn infected with the British variant of the coronavirus has died at the Tsitsiashvili Children’s Hospital in Tbilisi. The information was reported by the Rustavi 2 television channel.

Previously, the 5-day-old infant was brought to the medical center in critical condition. Doctors had connected the newborn to a ventilator. The child was treated for nearly three weeks, but unfortunately, was not saved.

In the Tbilisi hospital, there are two more children under the age of one who are also on ventilators, and they are in extremely serious condition.
