Five Residents of Shirak Region Diagnosed with Anthrax, Ministry of Health Provides Details
In response to cases of anthrax detected among animals in the village of Isahakyan, located in the Ani region of Shirak, samples were taken from seven residents of the area by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health. Out of these, five individuals have been confirmed to have anthrax.
The patients have been hospitalized at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, with their conditions assessed as moderate and mild.
As of July 2, a total of eight cases of anthrax have been confirmed in the Gegharkunik and Shirak regions. The patients are receiving treatment at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital and the infectious diseases department of Martuni Medical Center. Their conditions are evaluated as moderate and mild, and they are receiving necessary care.
