The Plane Transporting Prisoners of War Arrived in Yerevan from Baku
The plane transporting prisoners of war has arrived in Yerevan from Baku. In exchange for the prisoners, the Armenian side transferred maps of minefields in the southern regions of Artsakh to Azerbaijan. These are areas that have come under Azerbaijani control as a result of the war.
A new group of prisoners of war returned to Armenia, which includes 12 servicemen who were captured in the village of Khtsaberd after the 44-day war. Recently, 12 servicemen captured were sentenced by an Azerbaijani court to six months in prison, while two others received a four-year sentence for allegedly 'illegally crossing Azerbaijan's border.' However, they were acquitted of other charges.
