Azerbaijanis are taking some actions related to the Tartar River: Narine Kirakosyan
Environmentalist and journalist Narine Kirakosyan posted on her Facebook page: “Dear friends, this time my visit is related to the water resources of Artsakh. I received alarming signals from the people of Artsakh that Azerbaijanis are taking some action related to the Tartar River. The water was muddy, and the road that passes through the Armenian village of Getavan is being used by the Azerbaijani side to transport heavy machinery. The discussion pertains to transporting the waters of the Tartar River via the old road from Karvachar to the former Ganja/Kirovabad. Some people consider my alarm unbelievable. Now I have more evidence that they are indeed not transporting the water through the kilometers of the Mravi mountains but rather through the section leading to the old Kirovabad (Yanmag-Choprlu). It is presumed that they will construct a water collection basin to ensure a gravity-fed diversion of the river's flow. More details will be in my video report. But already, you can see that both the Tartar is muddy and the Sarsang reservoir, which is only fed by the Tartar, has less water compared to previous years. Additionally, large boulders are being taken by Azerbaijanis from the Karvachar side.”
