Russian Embassy Condemns Act of Vandalism at Armenian Cemetery
The Russian Embassy in Armenia has issued a statement regarding the act of vandalism at an Armenian cemetery in the Yaroslavl region.
According to the received information, unknown individuals committed acts of vandalism against the gravestones located in the Armenian cemetery, resulting in damage to approximately 50 gravestones.
“We condemn this act of vandalism against the gravestones in the Armenian cemetery. We believe that these blatant provocative actions are an affront to spiritual values and could lead to various consequences, negatively impacting efforts to maintain international harmony. We are confident that the local law enforcement agencies will take the necessary steps in a timely manner to bring the perpetrators to justice. In this regard, we are in constant contact with law enforcement and local authorities. Such actions must be condemned in order to prevent their recurrence,” the embassy stated.
