Fire at St. Peter and Paul Church in France
A fire has broken out at the St. Peter and Paul Church located in the city of Lille, France. According to TASS, the country's Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, announced this on his Twitter page, stating, "French firefighters are extinguishing the fire that erupted at the St. Peter and Paul Church in Lille."
Darmanin expressed support for the firefighters as they battled the blaze. Local media reports indicate that the fire, which started several hours ago, is now nearly extinguished, but charred parts of the church's covering are still falling from the roof. An investigation will be initiated to determine the causes of the fire.
