Turkey's Defense Ministry Informs Russia About Need to Halt Syrian Army Operations in Idlib
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense asserts that Ankara has informed Moscow about the necessity of halting military operations by the Syrian armed forces in Idlib.
According to a statement released by the Turkish defense authority on Sunday, Syrian troops had earlier "struck the hospital in Al Atarib, and are now shelling the residential area of Ka'a in the Idlib de-escalation zone, as well as trucks and trailers near the city of Sarmada."
"The Russian Federation has been informed of the immediate need to cease these attacks. Our military personnel have been warned, and we continue to monitor the developments in the region," the statement reads.
