Roads Closed in Armenia

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

Closed are the roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province towards Amberd Fortress and toward Kari Lake, as well as the Vardenyats Pass.

In Vayots Dzor Province, there are areas of black ice on the Saravan-Zanger and Sisian-Zanger sections in Syunik Province.

In Shirak Province, and in Hrazdan and Charentsavan cities in Kotayk Province, snow is falling.

Regarding Lars, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's North Ossetia crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. There are approximately 490 stranded trucks on the Russian side.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
