Narek, Who Spent 161 Days in Captivity, Doesn't Remember a Single Day Without Torture by Azerbaijanis

Arman Garibyan, co-founder of the NGO 'Power of Law', wrote on his Facebook page: 'This young man is Narek Sardarayan, who returned from Azerbaijani captivity. He is now back in his village, where Azerbaijani positions are clearly visible with the naked eye. After spending 161 days in captivity, Narek does not recall a single day when he was not subjected to torture by Azerbaijanis. He says that whenever they felt like it, they would beat him.'

Narek returned after the war along with other prisoners of war, having left the Azerbaijanis behind, but they have approached closely, surrounding the area around Nerk’in Khndzoresk. When he sees the enemy soldiers, Narek does not feel fear, but he emphasizes that we must be very cautious; anything is to be expected from them.

Narek and his fellow villagers do not wish to leave their village, but they are hoping that the government will support them regarding their pastures and arable lands. Armenian positions are stationed directly opposite Azerbaijani ones. I won’t write more about this, I can just say that we still have work to do.'
