Incidents of Collapse Reported in Some Communities, Particularly in Old Structures: Gegharkunik Governor
Following the earthquake registered 5 km away from the Shorja community in Gegharkunik Province, there have been no major devastations in the region.
Gegharkunik Governor Gnel Sanosyan stated this in an interview with Armenpress. "We do not have significant damage. According to current data, some old buildings and barns have been damaged, and we have suffered from electrical line damages, which has resulted in a power outage in surrounding communities. There is currently no electricity in the urban areas of Shoghakat and Chambarak. Specialists are working on it, and power will soon be restored," Sanosyan said.
The governor noted that the damaged structures are primarily located in the Shorja and Artanish communities. There are no reported casualties or injuries.
