Nadal Overcomes Second Round Barrier at Australian Open
Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal easily overcame the second round barrier at the Australian Open.
In the second round of the men's singles at the tournament taking place in Melbourne, Nadal faced Federico Delbonis from Argentina. After a match lasting 2 hours and 31 minutes, the Spaniard triumphed in three sets, winning 6-3, 7-6, 6-1.
This year’s first Grand Slam event, the Australian Open, features 128 players each in the men's and women's singles categories. The tournament is being held for the 107th time in Melbourne, first initiated in 1905. The current champion of the men's singles in the Australian Open is Novak Djokovic, while Naomi Osaka holds the title in the women's singles.
